Arthur Murahwa

Managing Director

Mr. Murahwa was appointed as the Managing Director on 5 May 2017. He joined BancABC Zimbabwe in March 1997 as a Dealer in Treasury Department. Arthur’s experience spans across 3 countries and includes being part of the inception team of ABC Zambia. After the stint in Zambia, Arthur was seconded to ABC Zimbabwe as Chief Dealer at the height of bank failures and he was part of a treasury team which was tasked with the responsibility of safeguarding the bank’s position during the crisis. Upon successful completion of that task, Arthur was subsequently posted to Tanzania in a new capacity as Head of Treasury until March 2008 when he assumed the position of Head of Treasury for African Banking Corporation Zimbabwe Limited. He has also held the post of Head of Corporate Banking. His position before assuming the MD post was Regional Head of MIS Management and Business Analytics for ABC Holdings Limited.

Arthur holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) Degree in Finance from the National University of Science and Technology in Zimbabwe.

Taurai Mushure

Non-Executive Director

Mr. Mushure was appointed to the Board on 5 May 2017. He is currently the Head of Corporate Banking for BancABC Zimbabwe. He previously held the post of the Regional Head of Trade and Working Capital for the BancABC Group. Taurai was born on the 3rd February 1973 in Zimbabwe. Prior to joining the Bank Taurai worked for NMB Bank where he started his career as a Credit Analyst and rose through the ranks to be Senior Manager, Corporate Banking. He joined BancABC as Senior Manager Corporate Banking and was Head of Corporate Banking for BancABC Zambia between 2008 and 2011. Taurai holds a Bachelor of Business Studies from the University of Zimbabwe. He has achieved the following professional qualifications: AIBZ Certificate from the Institute of Bankers Zimbabwe, Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. James Wadi

Non-Executive Chairman

Mr. Wadi was appointed to the Board on 6 October 2015. He has over 10 years banking experience gained in merchant banking, commercial banking and central banking. He was a Senior Economist at Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe between 2000 and 2007 before joining BancABC (ABC Holdings Limited) in June 2007 as a Group Economist, a position he holds to date. He holds a BSc Mathematics (Hons) Degree and MSc Mathematical Modelling both from the University of Zimbabwe and an MSc in Econometrics from the University of Manchester. Directorships: 1. Mr. Jubelah Magutakuona

Mr. Magutakuona was appointed to the Board on 1 June 2016. He started his career in BancABC as a Graduate Trainee in 2003, and progressed to his current role of Managing Director in ABC Asset Management, where he accumulated 12 years’ experience through various capacities. He has successfully managed an investment portfolio with more than US$80million in Assets under Management (AUM) spanning listed equities, fixed income and real estate assets. Over the past 6 years, Jubelah has led his asset allocation team in winning 3 annual awards in independent investment performance surveys that cover all the 16 fund management companies in Zimbabwe. Jubelah holds a BSc (Hons) Statistics degree and MSc Finance and Investments degree from University of Zimbabwe and National University of Science and Technology, respectively. He also recently completed the BancABC’s Executive Development Program delivered by Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBBS) and features on CNBC Africa’s Open Exchange where he gives expert analysis of the Zimbabwe Investment market. Isaiah Mupfurutsa

Mr. Mupfurutsa was appointed to the Board on 5 May 2017. He is the Head of International Banking for BancABC Zimbabwe. He joined the Bank in 1995 and has served in all portfolios in International Banking earning him vast experience in all Trade Finance products. Over the years he has also worked as a Manager in Treasury Back Office and in Bank Operations Centre. Isaiah is also the Bank’s expert in Exchange Control Regulations and works more closely with the Central Bank in this area. He is also heavily involved in Business Development, Relationship Management and Correspondent Banking. Isaiah is a holder of a Bachelor of Business Studies Honours Degree from the University of Zimbabwe and Masters in Business Leadership (MBL) Degree with UNISA’s School of Business Leadership.
